The 9th Council

Dear members,

The 9th Council of the Asian Fisheries Society has decided to increase interactions between the Society, fisheries scientists and private sector stakeholders by approving paid advertisements in its journal – The Asian Fisheries Science Journal.

The AFS welcomes advertisements on fisheries related products and services in future issues of the AFS e-journal.

Companies and institutions/ organizations interested in advertising their product/services need to fulfill the following requirements:

1. A minimum of two advertisements (based on 2 issues/volume) is needed for acceptance;
2. Each advertisement submitted must be print-ready for loading on the AFS website;
3. A half page advertisement is US$300/issue e.g. US$600/volume;
4. A full page advertisement will be US$1,000/volume;
5. A one third discount will be given to companies taking up a 3-year advertisement contract in the journal.
6. The Asian Fisheries Society reserve the right to reject any advertisement without the need to provide a reason; decisions of the Executive Committee are final;
7. Only approved advertisements with up-front payment will be advertised.
